An educational estimate using the published 1.5% rate, $50 transaction cap and $250 monthly cap. Purchases are assumed to settle in the same calendar month. No funds, personal information or account connection are required.

Estimates are not payable rewards, a quote or financial advice. A negative after-cost amount means the assumed costs exceed the retained reward.

Methodology

For each eligible purchase: reward = min(purchase amount x 1.5%, $50), rounded to cents. Monthly gross reward = min(sum of transaction rewards, $250). The monthly reward is allocated proportionally to transaction rewards; a partial refund reverses its fraction of the allocated original reward, rounded to cents. Remaining reward minus explicitly supplied total costs gives the after-cost estimate.

This same-period model does not reproduce posting order, cross-month refund adjustments, cap restoration or the eventual settlement ledger. All purchases, including excluded purchases, remain in the effective-rate denominator after refunds. Exact decimal arithmetic is used.

Worked examples

A $1,000 eligible purchase with no refund gives $15 before costs. A $4,000 purchase is capped at $50. A $1,000 refund of that capped purchase reverses $12.50, leaving $37.50. Six $4,000 purchases reach the $250 monthly cap before refunds. An assumed $20 cost against a $15 reward gives negative $5.
