Stablecoin-backed credit, explained
Stablecoin-only collateral: approved USDC and USDT on Ethereum. The credit limit is 100% of that collateral value, with no haircut. No BTC, ETH, SOL or other coins are accepted.

A stablecoin-backed line gives you a spending amount equal to the dollar value of confirmed USDC or USDT collateral. Because the collateral is a dollar-stable asset, the amount does not swing with a volatile market — but issuer and custody risks still exist.
One hundred percent, no haircut
The credit limit is 100% of the confirmed collateral value. There is no haircut, because approved USDC and USDT are intended to hold a dollar value, so a lender does not need to discount them against price swings the way it would for a volatile asset.
Why only stablecoins
A line backed by a volatile coin would need a margin buffer and could face liquidation if the price fell. Restricting collateral to approved stablecoins is what makes a 100% line reasonable and removes the day-to-day liquidation anxiety of volatile collateral.
Where risk still lives
Stablecoin issuer risk and custody risk still apply even without a credit line, and a stablecoin can in principle move off its peg. Pending collateral grants no spending power until it confirms. None of this is removed by the word "stable".
